Gujrati Special Bhungra Bateta

Servings: 4 people




Ingredients:

1 kg Potatoes
0.5 kg of frimes
0.5 tbsp Turmeric powder(Haladara pavadara)
0.5 litre of Oil
0.5 tbsp Asafoetida(Hinga)
1 tbsp Coriander and Cumin Powder(Dhana Jeeru Powder)
3-4 tbsp Red chilli powder(Marchu)
0.5 cup of powdered ground nuts(Daana no bhuko)
1.5 tbsp of garlic and ginger paste(Lassan and adu)
Small amount of red color
Required amount of water and salt


Steps for Procedure: 
1.Heat the oil in a pan.
2.Fry frimes in a oil on the medium flame.


3.Put the potatoes in a pressure cooker and add required amount of water and salt and cooked it for 5-6 whistles.
4.Remove the skin from the boiled potatoes and cut it into medium size pieces.


5.Add Turmeric powder(Haladara pavadara), Asafoetida(Hinga), Coriander and Cumin Powder(Dhana Jeeru Powder), Red chilli powder(Marchu),
salt.


6.Mix 2 tbsp water to garlic and ginger paste(Lassan and adu) and add to adove mixer. Also add goundnuts powder.


7.Donot mix the above mixer.
8.Add 5-6 tbsp of oil left after frying the frimes on the mixer prepared above.


9.Mix well. masala gets ready.
10.Add little water to red color and add it to above prepared masala.


11.Serve the masala with frimes.


Note:
    1.Add oil in step8 as per your required oilness.
    2.Add red chilli powder as per your requirement.
    3.Red color is optional.
