Ingredients:
1-1/2 cup all purpose flour(Maindo)
1 cup thick curd(Dai)
1 tbsp rice flour
4 chopped green chilli(Lilli marchi)
pinch of baking soda
1 medium to large chopped onion
1 litre oil for deep frying
Salt to taste
Water as per required consistency
Steps for Procedure:
1.Take all purpose flour, rice flour, curd in a large bowl.
2.Mix all the three to smooth consistency using sufficient water. It should not be too thick or too running. Allow it to rest for minimum 3 hrs.
3.Once batter is set add chopped green chilli, chopped onions, baking soda, salt and mix it.
4.In a deep bottomed pan heat oil in medium flame. Once oil is hot you can take small amount of batter and drop it through your fingers.
5.Fry both sides until it turns golden brown.
6.Once fried, remove it from oil.
7.Serve it hot with coconut green chutney.
Note:
1.Add water little by little to get required consistency.
2.If the paste becomes more dilute, add all purpose flour / maida to get it to required consistency.
