South Indian Beetroot Kuriar

Servings: 5 people

Ingredients:



1 tbsp Mustard Seeds(Rai)
2 tbsp Split Chickpeas(brown)(Channa Dal)
5-10 curry leaves(Mitho limbdo)
3 tbsp of Oil
1 medium to large chopped onions
3-4 green chilli's(lavingdi marchi)
2 medium to large granted beetroot(chinelu Beet)
2 tbsp chopped coconut(chinelu nariyal)
4-5 tbsp of water
Required amount of salt


Steps for Procedure:


1.Put the oil in a pan and Heat it in a low flame.
2.Then add Mustard Seeds(Rai) and Split Chickpeas(brown)(Channa Dal), heat it until it Crackles.


3.Add curry leaves(Mitho limbdo), green chilli's(lavingdi marchi), chopped onions.


4.Heat it until it gets cooked, then add chopped beetroot, salt and water. 

 

5.Mix it well and add chopped coconut.
6.Let it heat it on the low flame for 2-3 minutes.


Serve it with hot plain rice.

Note:
1.It can be served with roti as well.
2.Add green chilli's as per your taste.
